Not a landing page with a countdown. An actual beta — real accounts, real screen-time data, real bugs we haven't found yet. Here's the honest shape of it.
First up: the web dashboard and the Chrome extension
The first wave lands together, on purpose. The dashboard (app.zovy.app) is where limits, modes, and family controls actually live — the Chrome extension is what enforces them in the browser and reports back what you're doing with your time there. Neither one is much good without the other, so they ship as a pair.
This is also the wave that gets the roughest edges, by nature of being first. If you're in it, expect a product that mostly works and occasionally surprises you — and a team that wants to hear about the surprises.
Not far behind: the desktop app
The desktop app is further along than we expected to say out loud this early — it already tracks focused-app time, idle time, and can block or overlay-block apps you've limited. It's not a separate product so much as the dashboard wrapped in a native shell with real OS-level teeth.
It won't land on every operating system at once, though, and we'd rather tell you that now than let you assume otherwise. Linux and Windows are coming first. macOS is coming a little later — the native access Zovy needs to track and block reliably on a Mac is a bigger lift, and we'd rather take the extra time than ship a version that's easy to get around. If you're on a Mac, you're not forgotten, you're just a little further down the queue.
What "beta" means here
No polished launch trailer, no fake urgency. Beta invites go out in waves to the waitlist, in the order people joined. You'll get a plain email when your seat opens — that's the whole notification system. In exchange, we ask for what every early tester owes a small team: patience with rough edges, and honesty when something's broken or just doesn't make sense.
Founding-member pricing locks in the moment you join the waitlist, not the moment you get invited — so there's no rush to act on this post beyond curiosity.
What happens next
We'll keep writing these as things actually happen, not on a schedule. The next post here is probably the one that says beta invites are going out — and if the pace holds, that's not far off.
